AMDEC - ENGLISHHealth Fair Moves Communities in Beira
As part of the project “Strengthening Universal Access to Quality Health Services Through Integrated Home Care in the Community”, AMDEC held a Health Fair on the 29th of September, in the neighborhood of Manga-Mascarenhas, Beira City, with the objective of providing this community and surrounding areas with access to quality basic health services.
At the event, the visitors accessed various services ranging from: testing and counseling on HIV/TB and chronic diseases; educational sessions to promote good eating practices, psychosocial support, dissemination of pain care services; dissemination of BIAP services (Information and Psychosocial Support Desk), among others.
At the level of the province of Sofala, the project currently served around 3750 patients until the end of 2023. Some of these have, in addition to home health care, benefited from food kits.
