Period: 2021 – Present Project: VIVA+ and promotion of human rights

Actions:

Training of mobile medical teams for home care and training of community workers and nurses in integrated health services; Improvement of home care services through psychosocial and socioeconomic support for patients with HIV/AIDS, TB, chronic diseases, etc.

Financed by FDC/Global Fund

Beneficiaries:

1,043,250 Girls and Boys aged 10 to 24 in school and 662,376 Girls, Boys, and Young Women aged 15 to 24 out of school.



Period: 2005 - present Project: Pre-school education

Actions:

Implemented in Maputo, in the municipal districts of KaMaxaquene, Hlamankulo, and KaMubukwane.

Beneficiaries:

More than 10,000 preschool children; 15,000 in basic education schools.



Period: 2022 – Present Project: Strengthening community networks to eradicate early unions in the Magude district

Actions:

Global Objective: Contribute to the eradication of early unions by capacitating and raising awareness among teenagers, community leaders, educators, and families, about laws and policies protecting minors from early unions, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive rights, as well as the economic empowerment of vulnerable girls.

Beneficiaries:

12,510 people (6,120 men and 6,390 women), with a focus on girls, teenagers, and young people at risk of early unions.



Period: 2021 - Present Project: Strengthening the national response to HIV and TB in Mozambique (Zavala, Inhambane province)

Actions:

Strengthening the link between the Community and the health unit through actions for the reintegration of lost patients and increasing the retention of patients in treatment for Tuberculosis. 

Financed by CCS.

Beneficiaries:

More than 1,000 people identified and referred with manifestations of different cases of tuberculosis.

2,000 individuals from 200 households (5% pregnant mothers, 10% children aged 0 - 5, and 5% chronic patients)

5,800 chronic HIV/AIDS patients; 2,000 beneficiaries in palliative care; 29,000 sensitized in health and home care; 500 people assisted in psychosocial support and 7,300 pain consultations
